The AHRA offers a number of internships throughout the year. We are looking for committed and well-organised interns who share our values as well as a fundamental belief in human rights. Interns are supported and trained by our experienced team, which will stand them in good stead for a future career in the field of human rights. We offer our interns valuable knowledge and insight into the day-to-day operation of a regional human rights organisation, with responsibilities ranging from project management and fund-raising to strategy planning and logistical management of high-level conferences. Interns will also be assigned a mentor who will guide and assist them through their internship where necessary, as well as acting as their personal point of contact. Although internships with the AHRA are unpaid, travel expenses will be covered.
The AHRA is looking for people who can think independently, are motivated, and who harbour high ambitions. Interns will be expected to spend at least two days per week in one of our offices, either in London or in one of our country field offices. We kindly ask for three months as a minimum commitment as part of the undertaking of an internship with the AHRA. The intern will commit to being punctual, reliable, and dedicated to the their delegated tasks, as well as to the overall cause that the AHRA champions. In general, an internship with the AHRA requires the fulfilment of the following criteria:
